"Stolen" Friend Game

I got this idea from my friends, Melissa and Jane Anne. Here is a fun friend game...Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time or a long time. Comment about anything you remember. Next, if you have a blog, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and share a memory about you.

Well continuing w/ the theme of the day, sort of . . .
i am thinking about when you were nannying for Lauren and I came and stayed with you for awhile. Harry Connick, Jr., Heavenly CD reminds me of that time, as well as Natalie Coles Unforgettable. Two of the GREATEST albums EVER. We colored my hair for the first time and it's been colored ever since. Champagne was the color. I had my first latte, it was from Kevin's families place. Eddie told me he loved me for the first time,in french, je t'aime beaucoup. I didn't know what it meant.

Oh, i have another one! There was an earthquake today in Southern Calli, and that reminds me of the time when we were down there at Grandma Sudduths and you were sleeping in the living room and we had that earthquake. It was on June 28th. Could have been the trip we took before my Freshman year, 1992? You were FREAKING out so bad!

So many great memories...
I remember you taking me clothes shopping when Seth was in Iraq. And you convinced me to buy those camo pants that I thought were too tight. :)
I remember you guessing I was pregnant with Thomas before we had told anyone just because I was craving and eating Mexican ALL THE TIME.
I remember (and so love) playing the doughnut game with you at the Tanner house.
I will never forget the fun we had on Anah's birthday slip n slide.
I have SO MANY great memories I could go on and on!!

I remember this the other day and even told some girls about it at work. It was when we were living in Medical Lake, I think, and all three of us girls were down at friends house. We were all on their bed and you guys were trying to freak me out be telling me stories about the China Doll. By the end of the horrifying story all of us were freaked out and had to jump off the bed one at a time and run for the door.
How about the time in Bliss when you had your friends over for Fri. the 13th and mom and dad were gone and you guys did bloodie Mary in the bathroom and Janeen and I thought for sure there was a guy in the field in a tree with a knife.

How about in Montana when you had all your football friends over and they literally jumped through our trampoline.
All the times we've delivered puppies together.
How many times have we broken down on Vacation.
inner-tubing down the green river.
Last but not least The day after Thanksgiving Shopping.

it was really great reading everyones memories. in response:

JANEEN - i remember the week that you spent with me down at Ecola. starting with the subaru breaking down on us and having to call Tracy to come and get us and using pantyhose as a belt and it working for about 20 miles or so. i remember everyone at school thinking that you were a freshman . . . . . . . in college!!!! i also remember cutting your hand open with knives that dad was looking at buying for mom at Jafco. we've told the story enough times that my daughters are telling it now! and i also LOVE our movie marathons, tv on dvd marathons and game playing marathons that we've started doing in the very recent past.

MARTIN - i remember meeting you for the first time also. but i don't remember saying that my husband was better looking (though of course he is). i also remember the 2nd time we "met" was for my birthday and we all went out to eat chinese food at the Great Wall of China and I was pregnant with Sammy. fyi - you are the only boyfriend of my sisters that I ever met!!! lastly i remember you and Kim Walling bringing me a helium balloon in the hospital after I had Savanah that had Winnie the Pooh stuck in a hole coming out of his "house". On one side it said "While Rabbit pushed and pushed . . . " and the other side said ". . the others pulled and pulled." I can't imagine a more fitting balloon!!!! It was perfect and I think of that often when I think of Savanah's delivery!

RENE' - Wow! You had lots of great memories that certainly made me laugh. Of course, since a number of them included me torturing you, what do you expect, huh? I'm happy to say that I remember you while you were still in Mom's belly. I remember when we shared a room together when we lived in Bliss. Hurting your feelings because I didn't want to go to your birthday party, I wanted to stay at my track meet. I was there when you were caught in the closet with Dane!!! I remember what fun you, Janeen and I had driving down to Ecola reunion in your "new" car and deciding that we were going to pick random songs on each CD to listen too and then change it after we'd all chosen. That was a blast!

Oh how the memories are rushing back!
Who could forget the Mexico trip and our rides to town on the trambia. The deluge that attached as soon as we reached our Sams Club stop!
All the fun we have had at our Costume Bunco Parties. What AMAZING costumes we have come up with. Truly! Thanks Jane Anne for the reminder.
And walking, our "home" subway stop on the E line. Getting back so late and laughing talking about writing or calling Grandma to send us money!
Now that was FUN.

Yes! I remember Bloody Mary in Bliss. Where were mom and dad anyway.
What about all the "hobos" that would come around. The guy that Grandpa gave his shoes to and kept starring at his reflection in the window!

Everytime Brook heads over to Jaydens house to ask if he can play and he wants me to go over with him I think of the time when we met Amy and Missy the neighbor girls.

BTW- nice blog facelift.

I like it!

Neen - I'm not sure why but I'm not recalling the conversation about calling Grandma and asking her to send money. I'm assuming you are talking about the NYC/DC trip but it's not ringing any bells.
Funny you should mention Warren the Hobo!!!! I just told the girls that story last night at dinner!
Do you remember when I gave you permission to go to Amy's birthday party at the age of 9 or 10! Where were Mom and Dad then?

Fun game! I remember when you and Keith moved into that house in tacoma. Brandon and I dropped by just about everyday. The memory that has carried through with me into my own home is the wonderful way that your house always smelled and the hospitality that poured from your heart onto any one who enteder your home (even if you were folding laundry on your living room floor). Thanks to you......Brandon has always expected me to welcome people into our home at anytime, and that it should be filled with burning candles at all times. Thanks for showing me the true meaning of hospitality in a loving home!

remember when Rene and I came over to the Tacoma home when it was snowing out that one year. we stayed the whole weekend and played games. Or when you and Keith and Joe and Rene and I where playing poker for i think it was 4 or 5 weekends in a row. we also did cribbage. Or when you and your family came over and played apples to apples with Lee and his wife that one year and Keith won because of the new shoes card

Well, I don't have a blog but I wanted to share a couple of thoughts too. :) I've known you for sixteen years. We've laughed together, we've cried together, we've done stupid things together, what better friend can you ask for!?! There are so many memories to choose from alot of them include Ecola, boys, singing, and food. ;) Remember the cream pie we threw in Ray's face and ruined his leather jacket? How about stealing Keith's cigar before we went to the comedy improv place in Seattle? Thanks you two for setting me up with Kent also, that was a highlight (insert rolling eyes emoticon) :) We've shared the births of our babies together, well, not literally, and celebrating with ice cream. Being there when you met Keith and watching that relationship grow. I remember when your family including Annie went up to the spot where he proposed to you. I could tell how happy you were! There are just soo many wonderful memories I have of you and I know there will be many more to come! I love you!

I remember the Mickey Mouse jacket you were wearing the first day of Ecola. Remember that whenever you wore white and had a picture taken of you, you always looked like an angel is the photo? Does that still happen?!? I also remember at the camp we went to where you met Keith that I went on the banana boat with you. That is one of the very few times I've ever "let my guard down" about my leg and just did it. It was fun! What about the time we spent our day of prayer at the Pig n' Pancake. :)
